MHA 5305 - HealthCare Finance & Decision Analysis l

This course integrate the important domains of healthcare finanee and ·decision analysis. In addition to financing of US Healthcare, insurance, and methods reimbursement, topics addressed include: financial statements and indicators, operational and capital budgeting, P&L management and variance analysis, utilization and operating expense forecasting, fixed and variable costs estimation, breakeven analysis, and financial corrective action (turnaround ) planning. Decision analysis topics include: establishing a framework for quantitative decision making, simple deterministic analytics (e.g., resource size decisions, inventory scheduling, task sequencing, and project management (CPM/PERT), and simple stochastic analytics (e.g., resource size decisions, inventory scheduling revisited and stochastic decision trees).
