This computer course explores the use and representation of type and its effects in visual communication. Students develop their ability to use typographic solutions effectively in various facets of advertising and design projects. Strong emphasis is placed on the history of type and the technical, problem-solving and aesthetic use of display and text type. Prerequisite(s): ART 1314 or Permission of instructor for non-majors.
