This is a one-semester general chemistry course. Topics deal with basic principles of atomic and molecular structures, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, chemical change and organic chemistry. Emphasis is on compounds of interest in health and the environment. General Education Course that satifies SLO: Scientific Literacy; Area of Knowledge: Natural Sciences Three one-hour lecture periods per week.
