This course examines the soical, political, legal and regulatory environments impacting businesses. The course introduces concepts of corporate social responsibility (CSR), ethical philosophies, and business conduct and behavior across a number of settings. Students are exposed to the complexities of managing CSR while simultaneously addressing the dynamics of corporate strategy, public policy, government laws and regulations, and competition. A case based approach will be employed to introduce students to a variety of contemporary topics revolving around CSR and sustainablility (example: environment, renewable energy, population, and global change, etc.).
