NUR 7304 - Research and Evidence-Based Practice

Examine the complex foundational and philosophical aspects of evidence-based practice for advanced practice nurses. Complex concepts and theories including rapid critical appraisal of evidence in preparation for translation to nursing practice are addressed. The course prepares the nurse to translate findings from research and other evidence into practice to impact health outcomes and to function as a catalyst for change. Topics include research methods, the evidence-based practice processes, and steps in evidence-based quality improvement project implementation.
