PHY 1321 - College Physics l
First semester of a two semester algebra-based introductory sequence in physics. Introduction to the fundamental principles of natural phenomena. Topics include mechanics, properties of matter, wave motion, and heat. Knowledge of basic algebra and trigonometry is needed. This course satisfies the following general education requirements: SLO: Scientific Literacy, AK: Natural Sciences. (Three one-hour lecture periods per week.) Prerequisites: MAT 1311 with a grade of C- or better.
