RHS 1304 - Crisis Interventions |
This is a critical thinking course that introduces basic theories and principles of crisis intervention. The course will introduce critical incident intervention and management. Types of internal death (death, illness, financial, etc.) and external (nature disaster, war, societal, etc.) crisis events will be identified and appropriate intervention strategies are offered. Students are provided with knowledge aimed to help in the development of skills that will enable them to assist in the areas of emergency service worker, allied health professions, criminal justice/law enforcement professions, para-professional rehabilitation and human services provision.
