RHS 2310 - Practical Communications / Interviewing Techniques

This course is a critical thinking course which involves the study of effective communication skills, interviewing techniques, and other elements necessary to establish professional helping relationships with clients. The theoretical concepts of interviewing will be examined as well as the practical aspects. Students will examine development and maintenance of therapeutic relationships, with focus on essential interviewing. Students will learn empathetic communication skill and will be provided with background on the structure of an interview and learn how to analyze and facilitate problem solving.
